Menerga — local regulation for heat pumps

Heat-pump regulation in sensitive environments, remote maintenance and a bespoke supervision interface — with no cloud dependency.

The context

Menerga designs and delivers ventilation, air handling and energy-efficient HVAC solutions for technically demanding environments — swimming pools, server rooms, industrial buildings — where any deviation in temperature or humidity has direct consequences. Regulation must be precise, continuous, and stay responsive locally even if the network goes down.

The need

Three requirements stood out:

  • A local regulation capable of driving the heat pumps in real time, without depending on a cloud.
  • A secure remote access so that Menerga’s teams can carry out maintenance, diagnostics and monitoring from their offices, regardless of the client site.
  • A bespoke supervision interface, in Menerga’s identity, suited to its operators — not a generic screen imposed by a third-party supplier.

The solution deployed

Menerga relies on the WBox G110 gateway as the core of the installation. Around it, several Weble building blocks assembled to specification:

  • Logic Module — runs the regulation algorithms directly on the gateway. Logic stays on site, independent of external connectivity.
  • Modbus Driver — communicates with the existing heat pumps, sensors and PLCs through their native protocol.
  • CSV and FTP Drivers — automatic logging and export of data to Menerga’s archiving systems, with no manual intervention.
  • Weble Remote Access Module — secure tunnel that lets Menerga’s teams reach every deployed WBox for maintenance, updates and remote diagnostics.
  • HTTP Driver — the keystone of the user experience: Menerga has built its own HTML web interface, served locally by the gateway, consuming the APIs exposed by the WBox. Operators get a control screen in Menerga’s identity, 100% local, with no cloud dependency nor third-party licence.

The benefit

  • Data sovereignty: regulation and supervision stay on site. No operational data leaves the building without control.
  • Responsiveness: regulation does not depend on the network; commands run locally, in milliseconds.
  • Control of the interface: Menerga delivers its clients a control environment aligned with its own standards, rather than a generic third-party screen.
  • Proactive maintenance: remote access allows drifts to be detected and corrected before they become incidents.
