The OBIS driver reads smart and energy meters using the IEC 62056 addressing scheme. It supports several sub-protocols — D0 (IEC 62056-21) in ASCII over serial/optical, SML for German smart meters, DLMS/COSEM over HDLC, and JSON from EFR Smart Grid Hubs — over serial, TCP or HTTP.
