On the WBox you enable the ADS driver and the OPC UA driver, then map each point: a value read on the ADS side — the Beckhoff TwinCAT PLC protocol — is exposed on the OPC UA side — the industrial interoperability standard — and vice-versa. Conversion, scaling and logic run on the gateway itself.
